Success Begins With Understanding
A New Beginning As The Person You Were Meant To Be
Mental illness, including addiction, is difficult to handle without a caring, compassionate treatment provider to offer support and guidance. Not only is finding quality care difficult, being “labeled” from people that don’t understand or are judgmental are especially hurtful and embarrassing. New Beginnings Recovery Center will work with the patient and offer support to family members. We will also work with the community leaders and organizations to promote a recovery friendly community by assisting with community education to help end the stigma of addiction and mental illness.
How Is New Beginnings Different?
Testimonials
“Man, I have been through so many treatment places that I don’t even remember them all. I just kept getting’ high. I don’t know, maybe it was timing or maybe Teresea just knew, but she has really helped me. She even helped me get insurance so I could go see my doctor and get new glasses. That girl cares, I just love her.”
“I have seen therapists for more than 20 years, but nothing ever changed. We went to marriage counselor after marriage counselor, nothing. I thought I was going nuts. I am so grateful to Teresea for sticking with me and digging until she knew what was wrong with me. I just wish someone had done this years ago.”
“Teresea is easy to open up to, not everybody is. I’m not gonna lie, I’ve been around the block a time or two when it comes to treatment and the law; that stuff didn’t seem to bother her a bit and she wasn’t surprised or scared of me. She told me a bit about her start into this therapist stuff and I think that helps her understand what we’re goin through, ya know?”

Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (A-IOP)
The adolescent IOP is an evidenced based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) that challenges adolescents in how they think, behave, and react; in a unisex, group format. CBT is the therapy choice for many therapists working with folks struggling with addiction and has proven results. The adolescent IOP will meet three times per week, for three hours. We use an evidenced based curriculum that is geared towards adolescents and teaches: education, consequences, nutrition, coping & relaxation skills, life skills, anger management, time management, being responsible, boundaries, communication, leisure & hobbies, and the positive things that can happen in recovery. In addition, there will be sessions that will have a guest speaker or family sessions. During family sessions, no therapy is provided however, the family will learn about the disease of addiction, enabling, and where to find support locally.
